ADHD-app
UI/UX Design / Service Design
Summary
A large-scale app project that involved adults diagnosed with ADHD from Finland, Sweden and Denmark. During the project, we conducted background interviews to map out what kind of app, and which features, would best support people living with ADHD. The result was a brand and a user interface, which were user-tested with the stakeholder groups involved in the project. Among other things, the app sends medication reminders, lets users keep a mood log and answer a symptom questionnaire developed by Takeda. The visual identity and brand were designed to be colourful, while keeping the visual data easy to read at a glance.

Description
What made the project unique was its scale and international scope: 30 participants from three countries. Each participant's background, treatment situation, age, country and ADHD-related comorbidities shaped which features they found useful. For example, some wanted reminders to support their daily routines, while others found them highly disruptive. Across the group, visual design emerged as a top priority. Through wireframing and specification, the user interface took shape as a Figma prototype and a lightweight design system, which were then handed over to Takeda and its technology partner Accenture. To protect participants' personal data, the content of the specification phase cannot be shown, and participants are described only in general terms so that no one can be identified.
