Summary
Wayfinding designs for multiple surfaces, including walls and floors, for the duration of the Ainoa shopping centre construction. After the shopping centre was completed, some of the signs were removed as the wayfinding changed, but a few floor signs still remain today.

Description
In 2019, the Tapiola district in Espoo was undergoing major redevelopment, with several large construction projects underway. The new bus terminal had opened, but the shopping centre above it was still under construction. The client, the shopping centre, needed clear temporary wayfinding to guide visitors and local residents through the complex construction area for six months. Together with my colleague Sini Mäkinen, I designed wayfinding that matched the shopping centre's visual style and planned its placement so that it would be as useful as possible for people moving through the area.
