Summary
JAMK University of Applied Sciences needed a website that could simultaneously serve degree students, continuous learning customers and research stakeholders, among others. The solution was a comprehensive website redesign built on Drupal in close collaboration with the university and its stakeholders.

Description
I shared responsibility for the UI/UX design with Teppo Meriläinen, and together with Heta Kangasniemi, I refined the user journeys through workshops and user testing. Among other features, the site includes a wishlist function that lets users save programmes and courses they’re interested in for later review. The project also gave rise to a new brand identity, which expanded from the user interface into a detailed design system. As a result, study paths became clearer, and improved accessibility and mobile optimisation brought the user experience up to date. The design system now serves as the design foundation for JAMK’s other development projects and operations.
